David Cone-Gorham has been recruiting within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) and Real Estate (Development, Investment, Management) space since 1998.

With two decades of experience he has amassed an extensive and deep network of qualified candidates, clients, and friends within the construction and real estate community.

In 1998 David joined a growing agency based in Boston and focused on construction recruiting. He grew quickly with this firm and led a team of recruiters dedicated to the New York region. In 2003 David joined Construction Recruiters, Inc., as he was drawn to their ethical stance on business practices and core values. At Construction Recruiters, David brought his knowledge of the New York construction industry and grew another division, which focused on tri-state area construction recruitment with an emphasis on full service. In 2007 he opened the Construction Recruiters office in Manhattan.

In December 2008, David Cone-Gorham created NYCM Search, focused on providing high-level recruitment services to primarily private sector clients in the NYC area. NYCM Search currently provides recruitment services to a wide variety of clients including owners, developers, private equity firms, family offices, high-net worth individuals, retailers, REITs, investment companies, private schools, institutions, owner’s rep firms, construction management firms, general contractors, design firms, manufacturer / installers and specialty contractors.

NYCM Search is celebrating its 10th year in business with a growing network of over 20,000 tri-state area AEC and real estate professionals. David has placed hundreds of employees and served over 100 different hiring companies. He’s done all of this while also maintaining a level of integrity, transparency, honesty and effectiveness, which is rarely found within the headhunting industry. As NYCM Search’s client and candidate network continues to increase dramatically, it has been been fortunate enough to maintain a standard of working with like minded, professional and above-board working professionals and client companies.
