Development Manager sought by start up developer / builder of multi family residential projects nationwide. Be a crucial high impact contributor to a growing mission driven company, in a position that is slated for growth.

 

This is a role that requires full dedication, sometimes long hours, full accessibility, and a drive to continually improve yourself and those around you with a collaborative and positive approach. This role has a growth trajectory already assigned to it, and will require hands on experience up front with potential management oversight of national development within 1-2 years. This role is focused on the front end work supporting acquisitions on due diligence and then primarily focusing solely on land development with a handoff to delivery / construction. Design background would be helpful in answering certain design related questions re: building layout / orientation, building materials, etc..

 

Some travel will be required for at least the first year regionally within the Tri-State area.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Due Diligence, to include initial test fits, investigation as to the availability of utilities, research into local zoning requirements, the coordination of various expert subcontractors and basic financial modeling;
  • Planning and Zoning process management, to include coordination of expert consultants, such as civil engineers, attorneys, etc, and attendance/representation at various municipal planning meetings;
  • Pre-Construction, to include permitting, budgeting, development of the construction schedule, and final design coordination;
  • Construction, to include regular oversight of the project progress relative to schedule and budget, preparation and submission of loan draws, communication with capital partners, troubleshooting and stakeholders reporting. Key Attributes:

  • Experience on multiple development projects to date exercising responsibilities shown
  • Maturity and gravitas necessary to lead a multidisciplinary team and adequately represent the company in what are sometimes contentious public meetings;
  • Track record of reliability and accountability, verifiable by way of excellent references from pas employers
  • Strong Judgement
